The Klutziness Gene

50

By VegVixen

January of 2008 I sleepily walk towards the master bathroom of my house. BANG! I bash the middle toes of my left foot. This is an injury that would haunt me for months. It would keep me from running on my beloved tread mill every day. It also hindered my ability to walk pain free during my first ever trip to Europe!! What a silly way to injure myself but lesson learned.

Not so fast....

October of 2008, I was getting into bed after closing the bathroom door and BANG! I bash the middle toes of left foot on the side of the bed. Once again I'm in pain when I walk. Anything touching my toes causes pain. My wonderful fiance buys me an exercise bicycle, which puts much less pressure on my poor sore toes. I recover once again.

Flash to yesterday March 2. I am sitting, enjoying some gorp (good old fashioned raisins & peanuts) when I hear my fiance back from walking the dog. I rush over to the door to let him in. BANG! My left foot has bashed into the bottom of the exercise bike. My baby toe on my left foot is now three shades of blue, and it hurts to walk directly on it.

The ironic part is that injury number three could have never happened if injury had not taken place. I think I'm caught in a pattern here! And now all I can do is laugh at myself. And apparently my mom is just as klutzy as I am. So I say thanks mom for the klutzy gene, in addition to bad teeth, pale skin, the constant need to worry and spill food and drink whenever I'm in light colors. I won the DNA jack pot!

Sorry about your foot! =) I think my little Sister Sofia inherited that gene. She is such a Klutz! She cannot drink anything without spilling it on herself.....its true!
